IAB NZ AUT UoA Mix & Mentor Event 2026

Mix With Students and Mentor the Next Generation. IAB New Zealand Members have the unique opportunity to shape the future of digital advertising at the upcoming 2026 IAB New Zealand Mix & Mentor event with AUT and UoA students. This initiative is more than just an event,  it’s a chance to inspire, guide, and empower the next generation of digital advertising practitioners.

The IAB New Zealand Mix & Mentor Event and mentorship programme is back for 2026/27. By sharing your experience and insights, you’ll help demystify the industry, spark curiosity, and open doors for students curious to learn. Together, we can create a collaborative space where future talent feels supported, confident, and excited to join the industry.

What you can expect in this two-hour session:

🎤An open Q&A for students with a panel of IAB New Zealand senior leaders (see speakers below) via Slido. 

💡An event designed to help students learn how the industry works.

🤝 Meet and engage with the AUT and UoA students curious about the Aotearoa digital advertising industry in a relaxed networking session. (Light refreshments included.)

Mentorship Opportunity
A limited number of 6-month mentorships with AUT and UoA students will be offered after the event. These are optional for both IAB New Zealand Members and students and you are welcome to attend the event without signing up to be a student mentor. Mentorships are limited and not guaranteed. Please let us know when you register if you are interested in mentoring, and select your areas of interest. Please make sure you read and understand the mentorship Terms & Conditions.

Please note: Students have been advised that this programme is not about job placements or interviews - but about learning, building connections, and receiving guidance from people already working in the industry.
