IAB New Zealand helps drive the digital advertising industry forward through the efforts of Councils and Working Groups in various industry segments. Comprised of some of the brightest minds in their space, these groups work together to develop solutions that improve the digital advertising and marketing ecosystem.

Data, Privacy & Measurement Council

The IAB New Zealand Data, Privacy & Measurement Council exists to help the media and marketing industry understand and leverage industry and organisational applications of data and related technologies. Considering topics spanning business, audience, and campaign data, as well as analytics and consent, this council aims to help navigate the evolving landscape of digital privacy and to illuminate the challenges and opportunities of digital advertising measurement. It includes the following Working Groups:

Data Foundations: Establishing trusted, privacy-safe data practices and infrastructure to support long-term growth.
Measurement: Improving how the industry defines, tracks, and validates success across the digital marketing ecosystem - ensuring transparency and accountability. 

Segmentation & Activation: Turning data into action by building meaningful audiences and activating them across channels effectively and ethically.

Digital Effectiveness Council

The IAB New Zealand Digital Effectiveness Council guides the industry on the best methods to optimise performance and effectiveness across the full digital spectrum, and includes the following Working Groups:

Audio Working Group: Provides education on the increasing value of online audio and podcasts as powerful and effective advertising mediums.

Video & Attention Working Group: Educates the industry on the power of video to engage attention across all digital advertising platforms.

Retail & eCommerce Working Group: Consists of representatives from retail media platforms, agencies, and digital advertising companies who are dedicated to raising awareness of retail media and eCommerce best practice.

Emerging Technology Council

The IAB New Zealand’s Emerging Technology Council was developed to help the media and marketing industries navigate emerging technology, and guide best practices for how it can enhance and grow digital advertising.
