Please give us some historical background about MintHC as a company:
MintHC was formed in 2024 through the coming together of two of New Zealand’s most respected independent agencies: Harvey Cameron and Mint Design. Harvey Cameron was established in Christchurch in 1996 and has nearly three decades of experience as a full-service creative, digital, and media agency. Over that time, it built a strong reputation for delivering integrated campaigns for many of New Zealand’s leading organisations, from iwi enterprises and global brands to household Kiwi names. Mint Design was founded in 2010 in Christchurch and quickly became known for its bold, digital-first approach. Over 15 years, it built expertise in SEO, performance marketing, web development, and content creation, supporting the growth of hundreds of New Zealand businesses and earning international recognition in Deloitte’s Fast 500 and multiple industry awards. The merger created MintHC, a national integrated marketing group with offices in Christchurch and Auckland. Combining Harvey Cameron’s depth in brand, strategy, and media with Mint’s digital innovation and performance expertise, MintHC was purpose-built to help ambitious New Zealand businesses grow. Today, MintHC continues that legacy guided by the belief that when businesses thrive, communities prosper.
Do you have a hero product or service that you're most proud of?
What we are most proud of is our innovative approach. Our CEO is an innovator at heart and we consider this to be a secret weapon. We are leading the way in applying AI to marketing and sales. Beyond generative AI, we’re creating bespoke automations that streamline customer journeys, reduce inefficiencies, and amplify marketing performance. Our clients are calling it “game-changing” with some even telling us we should charge more for the results they’re seeing. It’s an exciting time to be helping New Zealand businesses unlock these gains at the pioneering edge of AI.

Our vision is to be the most trusted marketing agency in New Zealand. We believe that when businesses thrive, communities prosper and marketing is at the core of business success.
If you could invite three people, dead or alive, to dinner who would they be?
Oh great question! I’d start with Freddie Mercury. I’ve always admired how unapologetically ostentatious he was, perhaps to the point of arrogance. I’m fascinated by individuals who are so exceptional at their craft that they become difficult, yet impossible to ignore. On the other end of the spectrum, I’d invite Richie McCaw. What makes Richie extraordinary is the way he led. He combined relentless discipline with humility and composure under pressure. And unlike Freddie Mercury, he was always humble! Finally, I would invite Queen Elizabeth II. I admire her lifelong dedication to duty and the way she redefined what it means to be a dutiful leader. As a young girl, her dutiful approach was really influential on me.
What's the best piece of advice you've ever received, or like to share with others?
A Richard Branson quote has always stuck with me: “Treat your team well and they will treat your customers well.” When I first came across that quote, it instantly resonated with me and set the foundation for how I approach team culture. It’s become a deeply held guiding belief. During economic downturns, like those we’ve all faced recently, it can be tempting to focus solely on customers but I’ve learned that if you don’t look after your team first, everything else eventually unravels. By prioritising the wellbeing and growth of our people, we create stability that benefits both our team and our clients.
