    Angelina has over 20 years’ experience in the New Zealand advertising industry, working in large network agencies including DDB Aotearoa,

    Saatchi & Saatchi and TBWA\NZ Group, and has previously run her own agency communications business. Prior to joining The IAB New Zealand Angelina was Managing Director of TBWA\NZ Group’s Eleven. She has partnered with a wide range of national and international consumer, business, fintech, and tech brands, and is passionate about empowering New Zealand businesses to thrive in a digital economy.

    A Senior Digital Manager at Warner Bros. Discovery NZ, Stephen leads the commercial business for video on demand platform ThreeNow and online news and current affairs website, Newshub.co.nz.

    Stephen has over 15 years’ experience working in digital media across the digital industries of Australia, the UK and New Zealand, including senior sales roles at Pandora Internet Radio and MediaWorks. He joined Discovery New Zealand (then MediaWorks) as Senior Digital Manager in January 2018.

    A member of the IAB New Zealand Board since 2018, and prior to this as a member of the IAB New Zealand’s Mobile Advertising Council (2016-2019), Stephen enjoys the opportunity to contribute to the development and future of the digital media industry of New Zealand.

  • Carolyn Luey

    Carolyn joined NZME in August 2021 as Chief Digital and Publishing Officer responsible for Digital across NZME and leading the Publishing business.

    After 5 years at NZME, Carolyn left as Chief Operating Officer in December 2016. She then went on to senior transformational roles at MYOB and Vodafone where she was Chief Consumer Officer.

    With extensive experience as a strategic business leader in large New Zealand telecommunications, technology and media companies, Carolyn brings a wealth of knowledge and understanding of how best NZME can deliver growing digital audience engagement for our commercial partners.

    Carolyn is passionate about media and digital transformation and how a focus on customer, data and digital can accelerate NZ businesses in the future.

    Craig has been at MetService for 17 years - back in early 2000, it was just Craig, a briefcase and a rate card selling 50% SOV of the website a week for $1,500. Since then, the content, traffic and team have grown substantially into one of the top digital platforms in New Zealand. His passion is growing a team, from bringing people on with no experience to managing top performing team members.

    Craig has been on the IAB New Zealand Board since early 2000, enjoying the opportunity to contribute towards digital’s growth and share.

    When he’s not at work, he is chasing after his three kids and admits he’s hit the Hot Yoga age so goes to a few classes a week

  • Craig Whitaker

    Craig leads the enterprise advertising and measurement platforms business for Google in New Zealand. He partners with local brands, media agencies and technology consultancies to help ensure they're making the most of Google technology.

    Craig has worked at Google for over 10 years, first as an Analyst and Account Manager for the Advertising Sales Team and then as New Zealand's first DoubleClick employee before it was rebranded to Google Marketing Platform (GMP).

    Prior to joining the Google New Zealand team, Craig worked in various media agencies managing the digital advertising for some New Zealand's leading brands.

  • Gareth Codd

    Gareth has spent over 25 years in the Media Industry in executive and senior management roles both here in New Zealand and the UK.

    He joined MediaWorks in May 2019 as GM Operations and Digital Transformation following a two-year stint running his own consultancy business working with organisations in the media, automotive, construction, real estate and recruitment sectors to develop their sales and marketing capability. Prior to this, Gareth's most recent executive role was Commercial Director at Stuff. This is Gareth second time on the IAB Board including one term as Chair from 2021-2022.

  • Rob Hutchinson

    Rob is responsible for monetisation of TVNZ’s digital platforms including ad product innovation, data activation, programmatic trading and digital ad tech/ad ops. Rob has worked in the digital media space for over 25 years in product and commercial roles at Fairfax Media (Stuff), the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and his own digital media consultancy.

    With senior roles running teams at Stuff, Mediaworks, NZME, EMI & Warner Music along with CEO of startup Glass Elephant, Matt is an experienced executive with a record of leading and developing progressive teams and strategies to deliver accelerated brand, marketing, commercial and profit growth in large-scale and start-up businesses in highly competitive local and global markets.

    Over the past 25 years, Matt has accumulated knowledge across a range of high-growth, large-scale and startup businesses in advertising, marketing, media, digital, eCommerce, manufacturing, supply chain and product/brand development industries. He has led teams focused on delivering high-impact results driven by creative solutions that are pragmatic and scalable. Favouring a customer-first approach, Matt understands who they are and why they are in business, how to set ambitious goals and how to achieve them.

    With an innovative, motivating and empowering leadership style Matt loves to build high-performing teams committed to exceeding, and being unique in establishing credibility with consumers and clients.   • Rhys Heron

    Rhys joined Mi9 for the second time in June 2016, having previously worked as Head of Business Development.

    He has worked at both Yahoo! and Yellow in business development, digital strategy and product management leadership roles.

    Before moving to New Zealand in 2011, Rhys held senior product management and general management positions at Mi9’s parent Nine in Sydney, including leading its mobile and HWW business units, and worked in London and Melbourne prior to that.

    Passionate about digital, Rhys contributes to the development of a competitive local industry as a member of the Board of the Interactive Advertising Bureau New Zealand (IAB NZ) and its Chair from 2018-2021. Rhys was also Chair of its Mobile Advertising Council from February 2017 to September 2018.

    Rhys holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Deakin University, Australia and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

    When he gets time Rhys enjoys reading ancient, early medieval and military history, loves running and boot camp, and lives on Auckland's North Shore with his wife and two boys.

    Spencer is Head of Meta New Zealand and works on the commercialisation of Meta's family of products, apps and services in the New Zealand market, as well as playing an active role in the Advertising and Tech industries as a Digital specialist.

    Spencer is a proven leader in the corporate sector, as well as in start-ups and has over 25 years of experience working for some of the world’s leading Media and Tech companies including Facebook, Time Warner and Mail Newspapers in the UK, Australia and New Zealand.
