Every now and then we like to highlight a new IAB New Zealand Member that we think our community will find interesting. Today we meet Kurt Sandtmann, Managing Partner of Tracta.
Please give us some historical background about Tracta as a company:
Tracta is a strategic marketing agency dedicated to driving growth for agri-brands in today's dynamic market. We specialise in navigating the complexities of agribusiness, including distributor channels and export markets, empowering companies to leverage the power of brand and strategic marketing for effective establishment, growth, and scaling.
Do you have a hero product or service that you're most proud of?
Research that reaches previously inaccessible agricultural audiences. Globally validated brand and market strategies, thanks to our consultant partnerships. Targeted marketing communications that effectively engage farmers, growers, and sector businesses.
Tell us a bit about your company's mission and vision:
The primary sector confronts unprecedented change, fuelled by regulatory and social pressures, and evolving consumer demands for traceable products and services. Agribrands need strategic support, and Tracta's mission is clear - build the world's most vibrant, sustainable, and successful agribrands in the world. It's a bold ambition, particularly within a sector historically rooted in commodity products and conservative practices, but we're driven to empower the sector to thrive through this period of transformation.
If you can invite three people, dead or alive, to dinner who would they be?
Dave Droga, Mark Ritson and Steve Jobs. Between the three of them I think we'd learn how to really harness creativity to grow businesses.
What's the best piece of advice you've ever received, or like to share with others?
Remaining present and open-minded. A constant work in progress for me but I'm convinced that ideas and creativity are born from experiences, interactions, and new knowledge. While increasingly difficult in today's environment, it's so important.
