AUT Taps into TikTok to Attract Future Students
To reach a new generation of prospective students, Auckland University of Technology (AUT) launched a TikTok ad campaign designed to drive traffic to a personalised academic programme landing page. With many of their target audience using TikTok regularly, AUT optimised their ads for Landing Page Views, ensuring they reached users who were more likely to fully engage with the site.
Alongside the paid campaign, AUT tested multiple ad creatives and leaned into organic content trends, including POV videos, memes, and campus interviews, to give a real sense of university life. This helped build community with current students while sparking curiosity in future ones.
The result?
Over 707K impressions, 28K+ website clicks, and a 30.5% landing page view rate. A strong result that shows just how aligned TikTok is with reaching and engaging student audiences.
