IAB Press Release

IABNZ and Future State partner to improve digital outlook for Kiwi companies

Fri, 13 Apr 2018

The Interactive Advertising Bureau of New Zealand (IABNZ) and digital consultancy firm Future State today announced the launch of a partnership to create a service for Kiwi businesses to fully understand their digital maturity.

The new Digital Maturity index (DMi) has been developed to help businesses understand how they stack up in the digital space, and where they need to focus to stay relevant to their customers and staff.

Consisting of an assessment survey, research, and expert analysis by two of New Zealand’s leading digital practitioners, the DMi offers an opportunity to truly understand how a business is positioned to succeed in the digital economy.

Alex Radford, Future State Partner and Senior Consultant, said the digital economy is now a reality, with disruption common in almost every part of our working and personal lives.

“It’s becoming more fragmented and harder to connect with audiences in an authentic and relevant way. The channels available to marketers are also vast, disparate and confusing, and never has there been so little trust in the industry,” said Mr Radford.

“For many businesses the real issue is that they have simply not built the foundations to succeed in this digital economy, be it the technology, the organisational structure, the leadership or simply given enough thought to the strategic direction.”

Adrian Pickstock, CEO of the IABNZ said that now is the time for NZ businesses to take stock of their digital strategies; “with programmatic advertising maturing, Amazon on the horizon and search on the cusp of disruption by voice technologies it is vital for NZ businesses to ensure that their foundations in digital marketing are sound.” He went on to say “Future State were a natural fit for this project. With Alex and Richard’s experience in this space they will I’m sure be able to find lots of actionable insights for our members and non-members alike”.

The Digital Maturity index is $5,000 for non-IAB members and $3,500 for IABNZ members. This is a one-off fee and includes a detailed report and a presentation from the Future State team.

Future State is an independent digital consultancy providing leadership, strategy and tools that enable businesses to succeed in the digital economy. Future State was formed by Alex Radford & Richard Thompson, two digital leaders on a mission to drive clarity and trust back into to a complex industry through strategy, technology and expertise.
