IAB New Zealand Announces New Chair

The Interactive Advertising Bureau of New Zealand (IABNZ) announced today that Laura Maxwell, Group Revenue Director at NZME has been elected as its new Chairperson, a role that she returns to after a 2 year absence.
On her appointment, Maxwell said, "I'm thrilled to be back as Chair of the IAB. In an industry that competes in a global marketplace, it's imperative that the Interactive industry body is at the forefront of trends, threats and opportunities for NZ business. As with the IABs around the world, IABNZ empowers the media and marketing industries to thrive in the digital economy. Working with CEO Adrian Pickstock, we will continue to promote growth and best practice for advertisers, agencies and media.'
Prior to her current role, Laura was Group Director Digital Media at NZME and Commercial Director at The Radio Network. Before Laura joined TRN, she was General Manager and a Director, for Yahoo! New Zealand, where she first joined as the Sales Director. It was during this tenure that Laura was first appointed to the Chair of the IABNZ.
