Total online advertising expenditure in Australia has continued its strong growth, posting a record quarter of $571.75 million. The results which were released today in IAB Australia’s Online Advertising Expenditure Report (OAER) compiled by pwc, recorded an increase of $105.5m, representing 23 percent growth from the comparable third quarter in 2009. The IAB Online Adspend Study, conducted in partnership with PricewaterhouseCoopers, shows a return to double-digit growth in online for the first half of 2010. The Interactive Advertising Bureau of New Zealand (IABNZ) and PricewaterhouseCoopers have released their latest IAB Insight Report. The report surveys the online advertising expenditure for the fourth quarter (Q4) and the full 2009 year.

IAB PwC Online Adspend Full Insight Report Q2 2009

This quarter reported one of the highest ever spends - $52.49m.

The Moving Annual Total is now at an all time high of $199.8m. Growth continues: spend on internet advertising grew 5.53% from the same quarter in 2008, and is up 6.55% from last quarter.
Industry sources suggest that all other major media revenues dropped again in Q2. Read more...
