Contextual advertising

Contextual advertising - Advertising that is targeted to the content on the Web page being viewed by a user at that specific time. A common example of contextual advertising is "search" advertising where ads are shown that relate to the search terms used by the searcher. Another example is the search ads served by companies such as Google and Yahoo that are published on third-party sites. In the latter case, the ads shown relate to keywords on the page being viewed.
