Avatar
Avatar - A picture or cartoon used to represent an individual in chat forums, games or on a website. They range from simple 2-D images to complex, animated 3D models used in games or virtual environments (such as Second Life). Avatars can be "fictional" or "representational" (i.e a lifelike representation of the user they represent).
