Abandon
Abandon - When a user does not complete a transaction. Commonly used to refer to "abandoned shopping-carts" on e-commerce websites. An "abandon" is when a user has added items to a shopping cart, but has not got as far as purchasing the selected items.
This may be due to a site's user-interace making it difficult for the user to understand how to progress to the point of purchase. E-Commerce sites that record high levels of "abandonment" often look to user-interface specialists to examine the behaviour of the users on their site to understand why potential purchases are not being completed.
