US online ad spend to overtake all print and DM
New York - Spending on digital advertising in the US will overtake print for the first time this year, according to new figures.
The report from marketing analyst Outsell forecasts that marketers will spend $119.6 billion on digital strategies and $111.5 billion on print, including ads in newspapers and magazines and all direct mail. Read more...

New Zealand Online Advertising Spend Keeps Growing
The Interactive Advertising Bureau of New Zealand (IABNZ) and PricewaterhouseCoopers have released their latest IAB Insight Report. The report surveys the online advertising expenditure for the fourth quarter (Q4) and the full 2009 year.
Total spend for 2009 was $213.89m, which represented a 10.06% growth over 2008 ($193.15m).

Banner advertising, long overshadowed by paid search, could return to the fore thanks to recent changes in infrastructure for selling, serving and targeting banner ads. "It's going to facilitate a lot of brand dollars coming online because they'll be able to buy audience -- and right now it's really hard for them to do it at scale outside of a few portals," ThinkEquity analyst William Morrison says.
