Moving the furniture around will stop being a cause of disputes between partners with the latest cutting-edge website from ACP Digital.

On the website yourhomeandgarden.co.nz, users don’t have to lift a finger to rearrange the living room when they play an interactive virtual game.

The website is the online partner to popular monthly homemaker title Your Home & Garden, which offers style ideas to ordinary Kiwi families. As well as the interactive flash game – designed to let homemakers try out their decorating ideas without making costly mistakes - the website features slide shows of stylish homes and DIY advice on such topics as how to build a planter or sew an eco-friendly shopping bag.

User generated content is throughout the site with commenting on articles, a massive range of slideshows and a DIY project area – homespace where both professionals and amateurs can post photos and blog about their home projects.

Your Home & Garden editor Brenda Ward says: “The site is intensely visual, with hundreds of slides covering decorating for every room in the house. It continues the dual aims of the magazine, to be beautiful and practical at the same time. It appeals to the voyeur in all of us, peeking inside other people’s homes.”

The website continues ACP Media’s development of companion websites to its market-leading brands, including cleo.co.nz , taste.co.nz, metrolive.co.nz.
