Yahoo launches SmartAds

Yahoo will launch a new system next week that combines targeted marketing with the construction of the ads.
Called SmartAds, the system will allow advertiser to compile ads on the spot base on a user's internet profile, which may include their location, recent product searches, age and household income.
Research company eMarketer predicts the market for targeted ads will nearly double from this year to next, to US$1 billion and reach US$3.8 billion by 2011.
