I got some cool stuff for Christmas. My parents got my wife and me a Costco gift card. My father-in-law got me a great tie from the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Someone got us a Schaler & Weber gift card. (I love their kielbasa!) My wife got me a great rain hat from Barbour, and a terrific cookbook of Indian curries.

But the best thing I got, also from the lovely wife, was an iPhone.

Since Dec. 25, I've not been able to put the thing down. I've downloaded applications like Yelp, NYTimes, Weatherbug, Twitter Fon, and others. (I need to thank Jeff Minsky for turning me on to the Lightsaber application, which enables lightsaber sounds to issue forth from the iPhone as you swing it around like a young Padawan.)
