The Pond launches unique ‘Specialist Writers’ service
Design and digital agencies struggling to write industry-specific content on budget and within deadlines now have somewhere to turn – The Pond ‘Specialist Writers’ service.
The Pond now has 15 of these ‘instant experts’, all of them pre-vetted and boasting at least five years of in-depth experience in a specific industry, such as automotive, healthcare, travel or finance.
“This is a significant addition to our overall creative service,” says Sue Worthington, Pond Partner. “It comes in response to a growing call for specialist content writers – in part fuelled by the rise in digital and social marketing.”
“Designers often can’t find specialist writers who know their clients’ industries inside out. What follows is a kind of re-write hell as they try to stretch their own knowledge and skill, while the client gets frustrated with having to spend time coaching them.”
The Pond’s new online ‘Specialist Writers’ section overcomes all these issues and allows AEs and CDs to instantly refine their search online, or call The Pond for creative recommendations. As with its existing service, The Pond does all the pre-vetting, setting up meetings and overseeing the job to take the hassle away from CDs.
The new service follows on from the successful Pond launch of ‘Writer’s Block’ (BeST & AWARD winner), which first introduced designers to Pond copywriters.
“We can now offer two services; copywriting, which generally involves more creative copy, such as headlines, slogans, brand names and packaging - and specialist writing, which is less about selling and more about informing readers, distilling information from a variety of sources into a logical story using only a few words or many thousands depending on the project.”
