Ad spend online to reach 9.7% of total global media ad spend this year

Online advertising spend worldwide will hit US$47.7 billion this year, at 9.7% of total media ad spend.

Cinema and outdoor advertising are the only other formats expected to gain a greater share of total ad spend, and combined, their increase will not match that of the internet.
