Online ad spend in US to reach US$25.9 billion in 2008

EMarketer predicts online ad spend will reach $51 billion in 2012.

Search accounts for most online ad spending; however eMarketer says the greatest growth will be in rich media and video ads, following the big portals’ acquisitions in the past year that will represent the non-search segment (DoubleClick, Bebo, Adtech).
