Online ad expenditure in Europe up 40%

Sixteen countries were covered in the IAB Europe report, with the UK, Germany and France accounting for two-thirds of spend. Some of the smaller markets also recorded high growth rates, with Greece at 91%, Spain at 55% and Slovenia at 49%.
The European advertising market is showing signs of closing the gap with the US, where online advertising grew 26% in the same period, to a market value of €14.5 billion.
