More radio spectrum opened for use

Stuff reports the government is to release new radio spectrum for use in provision of broadband services. David Cunliffe announced that the 5.4 and 60 GHz spectrums have been made available as "public park" spectrum . This spectrum is suitable for the provision of wireless broadband services.

Cunliffe went on to say that access to improved broadband connections, particularly wireless, is a key enabler for economic transformation.
