Career Profile: Kirsty Harman - Advertising Manager
In her role as Advertising Manager for Fairfax Digital, Kirsty has a key role in:
• Establishing and building productive and valued relationships with advertising partners.
• Developing targeted advertising products and packages for Fairfax customers.
• Identifying new revenue opportunities that support our advertising partner's commercial objectives.
• Ensuring our advertising partners have a quality experience in their dealings with Fairfax Digital and keep coming back for more.
Like most advertising managers, Kirsty came to the role via a degree in Physical Education (and another one in Commerce). While it's of course unusual for Fairfax Digital customers to enquire about ways they can enjoy a healthier lifestyle, it's good to know that Kirsty can call on her education to assist in this area, as the need arises.
A diverse job, calls for an equally diverse background
Prior to joining Fairfax, Kirsty's online experience included digital sales and management roles with the Emitch agency in Australia (the biggest specialist digital agency in that country) and the APN publishing group in New Zealand.
Sales is in her blood and before the rise of online, she sold everything from real estate to newspaper advertising. Her conclusion: you can't beat the Interweb!
Kirsty enjoys the diverse and challenging nature of the role and the freedom that a still-developing industry provides, to make it up as you go along (at least to some extent).
When she grows up, she'd like her boss’s job.
