IAB NZ announces standards and guidelines for online ads
AucklandJune 4, 2008
The IAB Standards Committee has begun a process to communicate to the market the most popular ad sizes for the purposes of reducing the costs and inefficiencies associated with the planning, buying and creating online media. For publishers, particularly independents and start-ups the use of common ad sizes will help the obtaining of share by offering existing advertising creatives sizes to potential advertisers.
The result is the Common Ad Package, a set of eight ad sizes that NZ online publishing market is supporting. In the table below there are statistics reflecting the number and percentage of NZ websites supporting these ad formats. These ad formats have consistency with the US and UK standards and guidelines.
Over the coming months we will be presenting the NZ perspective on rich media, video and mobile online creatives.
