Google makes progress on print barcode test

The technology lets advertisers place small, square barcodes next to print ads. Readers use mobile devices to take photos of the barcodes and view promotions on those devices.

Health insurance comparison site eHealth and Cruise.com have been testing the system, looking at site visits to measure success.
