At a conference this week for web developers, sellers and others, eBay is expected to explain how its acquisition of Skype, PayPal, Stub and other services will fit with eBay's strategy in the future. It's predicted the company will announce plans to break away from being just an auction house, and the launch of new services that will let buyers buy eBay items outside the core eBay site.
