1.5 billion online by 2011

A Jupiter Research report predicts that 22% of the world's population will be online by 2011. In 2006 there were 1.1 billion online; in 2011 that's expected to grow to 1.5 billion. Most of that growth will come from Brazil, Russia, India and China, with North America's online population expected to shrink to 17%, from 21% in 2006.
