Online media as effective as TV for packaged good ads

A study by Harris Interactive has found online media is possibly more effective a branding tools as TV ads, where consumer packaged goods products are concerned. The study, commissioned by Google, compared the effectiveness of traditional 30-second television commercials with commercials on YouTube and embedded in online content in three product categories – beverages, salty snacks and skin care.
