IAB and PwC have put together a series of educational events aimed specifically at the needs of small, growing publishers. These events are produced from input around the IAB board table, member requests and are part of IAB's ongoing focus to grow the online advertising market.
Please note these events are for IAB members only and are free to attend. Seats are limited to 20 allowing for plenty of interaction between presenter & attendees.

A few clever publishers including the New York Times and CNN have figured out what users of social media sites like Facebook really want and are great case studies on how to best leverage social marketing to engage with people in a two-way dialogue.
Many publishers, often working closely with their agencies, have been able to launch and iterate their models over time and have learned about the importance of their brands being authentic and that Facebook can be as much their ears as it is their voice.

With over 12 years of successful sales and marketing management experience in Online Advertising
and Technology, since July ‘09 Paul has been working with large brands and agencies to better leverage social marketing on Facebook, including Air New Zealand, 2degrees Mobile, TVNZ, Rugby World Cup, Lion Nathan, Fonterra and nzherald.co.nz.
Previously with Google, where Paul was a Senior Industry Manager, he managed growth in Search with NZ agencies & major accounts. He has also worked in international Business Development for a large blue-chip UK firm, RBS (eVentures, London) and in Product Management for US Internet start-up Level 3 Communications (London & across five European countries). Paul has an MBA (Distinction) and a BCom from the University of Canterbury, NZ.
