Nicola Reade, Business Manager Emerging and Social Platforms: 

Nicola Reade is TVNZ’s Manager of Emerging Platforms. She’s a keen follower of new technology and has been professionally involved with new media since cranking out her first HTML page in 1999 via Adobe Pagemill WYSIWYG. She’s produced websites (by the hundreds); iPad and iPhone apps, blogs; vlogs; mobile games; desktop widgets; interactive shop installations; digital displays for concerts. Having worked both client and agency-side, she’s well-versed in the balancing act of user-centric design and the need to monetise content.

Nicola creates online content herself, and last year won Best Lifestyle Site in the People’s Choice Netguide awards for her blog: www.beingdiabetic.co.nz.

 Che Tamahori, Managing Director, Shift:

Che Tamahori is Managing Director of Shift, a leading online strategy and design agency with offices in Auckland and Wellington. Che’s personal background in both design and technology drives Shift’s approach to seamlessly melding creative and technical disciplines. Che works closely with clients including Tourism New Zealand, Lion Nathan, Gen-i and APN to create world leading digital experiences.
 
With 15 years in the New Zealand web industry, Che is passionate about the potential of online technologies for building communities, and reshaping markets. Che has a BA in Computer Graphic Design (Hons) from Wanganui Polytechnic. In the final year of his course, he combined with his tutor Brian Smith to win the Great Internet Cookoff – New Zealand’s first web design competition
