IAB New Zealand is a not-for-profit organisation representing the interactive advertising and marketing industry. Our members represent media owners, advertisers, agencies and a wide-range of companies and organisations operating in the interactive advertising field.About IAB New Zealand

Vision

We will foster world-leading standards and creativity by developing, innovating, educating and growing the interactive advertising industry in New Zealand.

Mission

Our mission is to drive awareness and grow the usage of interactive media, and to play a central advocacy role in protecting and enhancing the interests of our members and their consumers.  Each of the six components of the IAB's mission reinforces this.  These six components are:

  • Marketing of interactive media - promoting interactive advertising
  • Developing powerful standards - raising profitability by tackling barriers and reducing costs, and self regulating the protection of interactive media users
  • Producing powerful research - proving the effectiveness of interactive advertising to advertisers, agencies, marketers and the public of New Zealand
  • Providing environments for members to network - allowing them to engage in open discussion, learn and advance better understanding of the responsibilities and duties imposed by relevant Acts and regulations; and to expand the breadth and depth of IAB NZ membership while increasing direct value to members
  • Educating the markets about the medium - training marketers and media owners in using new media and helping to establish and promote best practices
  • Effective government affairs and external representation - protecting the freedom to advertise using interactive media

Guiding Principles

IAB NZ will apply five guiding principles in the pursuit of its mission. IAB NZ will be:

  • The leader of the industry and the focus for debate
  • Where client marketers go to first
  • Where agencies come back for advice
  • Where media owners come for training
  • And where everyone goes for support

IAB NZ acts in accordance with the following values:

  • Community - working for the greater good of the industry

  • Innovation - never standing still, not being afraid to fail and always growing
  • Integrity - doing what we say we will when we say we’ll do it
  • Independence - the IAB will remain independent from any of the individual constituents
